Undeclared quantities remain unknown. Ingredient order or a total amount does not establish the amount of each form.

Recorded nutrient amounts per serving

Declared nutrient amounts and values calculated from compound quantities are identified separately. Mass fraction is not a quality or efficacy judgment.

Evidence and sources

Magnesium

Research, explained

Look at the magnesium amount and its chemical form. Better absorption alone does not prove better sleep or performance.

What was studied

A randomized study in 46 healthy people compared citrate, oxide and an amino-acid chelate: citrate showed better absorption measures.

What remains uncertain

Absorption markers are not health outcomes. Small studies do not establish superiority for every product or person.

Understanding the form

NIH reports that citrate, chloride, lactate and aspartate are often better absorbed than oxide. We give no bonus to malate, taurate, orotate, threonate or other forms without direct comparative evidence. Elemental fraction is not bioavailability.

Laboratory report · 26027869-002

Sample: Watson Nutrition: Magnesium (120 Kapseln)

Sample marking: Charge: 96467; MHD: 28.05.2028

Batch in report: 96467

Current retail batch unknown

Document date: 2026-06-16

Test period: 2026-06-08 – 2026-06-16

Product and pack match: The retained current manufacturer page selects Shopify variant 50787399565627, explicitly 120 capsules and 200 mg magnesium per four capsules. The report explicitly names Watson Magnesium (120 Kapseln), submitted batch 96467; the associated nutrition report photo appendix shows the same 120-capsule pack, four-capsule declaration and ordered ingredients. This establishes product/formulation/pack association for the tested sample. The batch currently supplied to customers is not established; no sample capsule mass is promoted to current retail net mass.

Commissioner according to source: Beyond Food GmbH

Source conclusion (within its stated scope): GBA states that this sample's magnesium result agrees with its packaging declaration under the report's cited 2012 EC nutrition-label tolerance guidance. The report does not supply numeric tolerance bounds for a platform judgment.
